Arizona Shih Tzu and Small Breed Rescue

Phoenix, AZ

Hello! My name is Lisa Vitorovich and I am a Board Member / volunteer Adoptions Coordinator for Arizona Shih Tzu and Small Breed Rescue in Phoenix, Arizona,  a non-profit 501(c)(3) dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of Shih Tzu and other small breed dogs and cats. We primarily cater to dogs at the highest risk due to age, behavior or medical needs. In 2016 we welcomed nearly 400 dogs and cats into our rescue and provided them with spay or neuter, vaccinations, microchips and often urgent medical care. We were able to return over 20 lost dogs to their owners and provide much needed medical care to approximately 45 animals allowing them to remain with their low income families. We adopted out over 150 dogs and cats and sent other animals on to partnering rescues, adoption ready. We rely solely on adoption fees and donations to keep our rescue doors open. Dog food is a constant need for us. Not only do we feed our own rescued animals, we offer food to those who may be in crisis as well as the homeless when we are blessed with any excess. Our rescue provides a valuable and much needed service to our community of so many animals in need. Our rescue operates on the hard work of our director who receives no financial compensation and a small group of dedicated, hard working volunteers. I was reaching out to you in the hopes of being a receiver of any food donations ~ bags and cans that can not be sold because the bags are ripped, have been opened and returned or dented. We would be so grateful to be the beneficiaries of your generosity and be able to stock our empty shelves with dog food. Thank You so much for any assistance that you can provide ~ Lisa Vitorovich Adoptions Coordinator Arizona Shih Tzu and Small Breed Rescue
