Critteraid promotes and fosters animal welfare through the provision of sanctuary, education and rescue. We rely on the generosity and support of our amazing Critteraid members and volunteers through donation of time and funds. Critteraid is celebrating 25 years as a non profit organization dedicated to animal welfare in the Okanagan Valley. Critteraid heads up six main divisions including the Cat Sanctuary, The Dog House, Critteraid Farm – Pasture Animals, Project Equus, Outreach Program and Education. Each division has a specific role to play in the Critteraid sphere. We could use these 5,000 meals as we currently house approximately 70 cats in our sanctuary as well as having just under 10 cats and kittens currently in foster care. The cats in our sanctuary include permanent residents that are in end of life care, semi-ferals, as well as cats that have behavioural and chronic medical issues. It also includes cats that are adoptable that we are working on getting into homes, some of which also have chronic medical illnesses. Each cat that comes into our care receives a veterinarian examination, vaccination(s), spay/neuter, deworm, and tattoo. There is also ongoing care for some and follow-up appointments to ensure that each cat remains healthy. With the kitten season approaching, the meals would be appreciated more than words could ever convey as we have limited funds being a non profit and with the medical costs that come with providing a safe haven for many cats. This would help both our sanctuary cats as well as our cats in foster care and help us put some resources to outstanding medical bills. Thank you for your vote!
