The Gloucester County Animal Shelter opened it’s doors in July 1990 as a public service provided by the Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders. We provide both animal control services and animal shelter services to the twenty-four towns of Gloucester County. Our goals are to promote humane care and treatment of all animals, seek responsible, loving homes for animals, reduce pet overpopulation by encouraging people to spay and neuter their pets, provide lost and found services by reuniting pets with their families and to protect animals from cruelty and neglect. Our shelter handles in excess of 8,000 animals per year. We work closely with other local and state wide animal welfare organizations to better aid the animals in our county. We also operate 2 off-site adoption centers located in the Petsmart stores in Turnersville & Mantua, New Jersey. These sites are staffed completely by volunteers and result in over 600 animal adoptions each year.

We are a pug rescue group. We place unwanted pugs in forever homes. We do all reference checks and vet before adoption all pugs are spay and neutered. We rescue out of New Jersey and sometimes Pennsylvania and Delaware.

HeavenSent Bulldog Rescue is a volunteer group of bulldog lovers whose mission is to re-home bulldogs who are surrendered by their owners or find themselves otherwise without homes, landing in animal shelters or wandering the streets as strays.  Volunteers provide foster care, veterinary care and rehabilitation for these needy dogs, ultimately finding them forever homes.  While HeavenSent places rescued bulldogs primarily with families in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, bulldogs from the surrounding areas are rescued as well, including those in New York, Delaware, and Maryland.

We are a non-profit shelter I volunteer for this shelter from my home in Atlanta, GA because I believe in the work they are doing. They are a wonderful shelter that is doing great work

Our major goal is to spay/neuter cats before any kittens are born. If there are already kittens born, we take in the mom and kittens and spay them all when the time has come. We also find them loving homes and follow them for many years after they are adopted out. LRKC supports TNR- Trap, Neuter, Return.
