The Spay/Neuter Certificate Program helps low-income individuals have their companion animals altered at a very low cost. Participating veterinary clinics reduce their fees and UAF pays a portion so that the pet guardian is responsible for only a small share of the cost. This program is made possible through donations, fundraisers and grants, including past grants received from Best Friends Animal Society and the Arizona Companion Animals Spay and Neuter Committee, which raises funds through the sale of Pet-Friendly License Plates.

• Two walks – one morning and one evening per your pet’s needs
• Potty breaks – as many additional outside breaks as your pet needs during this 12-14 hour time! (Additional day breaks can be added for a fee).

• Play, snuggles and lots of attention!
• Administer routine medicines and basic medical care needs (injections are no problem!)
• Pet “Housekeeping” – picking up the yard and any inside pet-created messiness to keep your home nice and tidy for your return (within reason – bigger messes requiring reinforcements or union labor might be a bit extra!)
• Care of other small domestic pets as discussed prior to visit (i.e. birds, fish and gerbils).
• Final report card upon your return with a short summary of how your pet did while you were away!
