A strictly volunteer licensed corporation, not for profit, Adopt A Pup was established in 2012 and is dedicated to saving homeless, stray, and unwanted dogs not only in Michigan but throughout the country. We’ve rescued dogs throughout Ohio, Tennessee, and even as far as California. In its few months as an active rescue, Adopt A Pup has rescued and/or rehomed over 100 dogs and puppies. We have recently started rescuing cats and kittens, though our focus is on canines. Our Officers, fosters, and other volunteers all lead busy personal and professional lives in addition to rescue, and receive no compensation whatsoever for the multiple hours per week they devote to the rescue. We promote sterilization and awareness of the plight of shelter dogs all over the country.
