We are a very small rescue that started a year ago.  There are only 3 of us currently in the rescue.  The rescue was started by our President after pulling and adopting a 3rd beagle from a shelter in KY.  “ANGEL” was hit by a car suffered a fractured leg and was left to die in a high kill shelter in KY.  No one came looking for her.  Our President pulled her, had her vetted and seen by an orthopedic specialist in Akron Ohio.  Surgery was completed and a bone graft done on Angel’s leg and her leg was saved!  She is thriving very well one year after surgery with our President and lives with 3 other beagle brothers and sisters.  ANGEL was our Presidents reason for starting this rescue hence our name “Angel Beagle and Hound Rescue”   We pull dogs primarily from a high kill, very rural shelter in KY.  All hound dogs are very expendable in the South when they get old, can’t breed or hunt anymore and are a very highly euthanized breed.  It is very sad and that is why we chose to primarily help dogs in the South.  Our President resides in PA and our foster is in KY.  We work with 3 very reputable transports and so distance never stops us for an adoption!
