Each year, approximately 5,000 animals receive shelter and care within our facility. Because we are a nonprofit organization, Shelby Humane Society relies on individual donor support, fundraisers, special events and corporate sponsorships to care for these homeless animals.
Our mission is to care for homeless, abused, neglected and abandoned animals and educate the community to instill an increased awareness and commitment to the responsibility of animal ownership and protection.
