Manatee County Animal Services is an open admission shelter who enforces animal ordinances in the county and impounds stray and unwanted animals surrendered over by their owners. Officers investigate cruelty, bites, and dangerous animals. The shelter houses the animals both picked up in the field by officers and brought in to the shelter by citizens. The shelter ensures the animals care and safety while at the facility by providing intake vaccines to keep animals healthy, proper diet of Hill’s Science Diet food, and enrichment activities. Currently our shelter has an adoption center at its main location, and an offsite adoption center in the downtown district.
