Pembroke Welsh Corgi

We are an all volunteer-based, 501 C (3), state licensed, non-for-profit dog rescue in Joliet, IL, specializing in herding breed dogs that we pull from high-kill and local shelters. Our goal is to re-home happy, healthy dogs and all proceeds go towards the process and prospect of helping more herding dogs in need.

We were established to find homes for homeless and abandoned Welsh Corgis and Great Danes and “typey” mixes of those two breeds. We also occasionally take in “mutts” and the occasional cat. We do this out of our home(s).

We are a small foster home based training and rescue only. We help homeless German Shepherds, Belgians Malinois, pembroke corgis. We train and work with the scared, fearful in shelters that need to be understood and given another chance. We have experienced handlers & fosters that spend their life Dedicated to these breeds and making life better for them. As well as Promoting in educating on spaying and neutering all pets.

We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to saving Dachshunds and Corgis in need of finding new homes. We take dogs from owner surrenders, shelters, and strays. All dogs in our care live in our home or a foster home. We expose them to as many different situations that we can, including trips to mountain streams, supervised off leash walks, car rides and total love. We strive to get to know each dog’s personality so we can find the right fit for your home.

We love all dogs but since we can’t save ’em all, Little Legs Rescue concentrates on rescuing Corgis and Corgi-mixes. (We occasionally rescue other small/medium-size breeds, too.) We don’t have a shelter: our Little Leggers are housed in foster homes where we get to know their personalities and their likes and dislikes until we can match them with good, forever homes. We have foster homes in CT and also in northeast TN. If one of our adoptable dogs is being fostered in TN, we can arrange for a reliable and professional pet transport company to deliver the dog: there are delivery stops in VA ,MD, PA, NJ, NY, CT, and NH. All of our dogs are vet-checked and altered before placement and all of their medical records will be given to their new owners, at the time of adoption.

Our mission is to seek a forever home for those corgi’s whose path may have placed them in a home just not suitable for them, whose family may have had a change in their lives or have become lost and in a shelter.

Pet’s Second Chance, Inc. was founded in 2000 by Linda Moore as a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Located in St. Louis, Missouri, our dedication is to the many Pembroke and Cardigan Welsh Corgis or Corgi mixes who have been abandoned by their owners due to divorce, moving, birth of children, and the many other reasons that families may no longer be able to keep their Corgi. We will accept all Corgis regardless of age or physical condition.
