Ararat?s Doxie Haven is a non-profit South Carolina organization. We are a registered charity under the number 13254.There are so many dogs looking for homes that are euthanized each and every day just because there is no room for them at shelters. This includes purebreds, like our beloved dachshund. We decided we needed to do something. From there Ararat?s Doxie Haven was created. Our sole purpose is to ensure each dachshund that comes into our care will be cared for in a loving home environment as a member of our family while waiting for their forever home. While we would love to help all, we are a small organization run out of our home. We are limited by space and funds to the number of dachshunds that we can take and care for at one time. Since we are no kill, all dachshunds are assured a forever home at Ararat?s Doxie Haven if a suitable forever family does not come along. By staying small we can ensure that ?our? dachshunds receive quality time and care. We feel that this way we are personally familiar with each of the dogs unique personality and can better match them with their forever family. We are located in upstate South Carolina and being a small organization, we generally adopt to locale residents but can adopt to some one within a reasonable distance. The further the distance, the longer the adoption process will take, for no dog will be placed until a home visit has been done by a person of our choice.

W.O.O.F.F. is a 501c3 dog rescue. We specialize in border collies, dachshunds and shelties, but will accept any non-aggressive dogs that need to be placed in a Forever Home. ALL Creatures Matter Rescue is here to help small breed dogs in need and ensure they get the care they deserve and are placed with loving families. I am very concerned about the welfare of these animals; therefore, an application and references will be required for adoption. All pets will have a non-refundable adoption fee and will be fully vetted. They will be spayed or neutered before leaving the rescue. We don’t want to contribute to the pet over-population and to the killing of innocent animals. ACM exists to save the lives of animals in need and depends upon donations, adoptions, and volunteers to exist.

We are unique in that we are a pro hunting rescue. I am a big advocate of hunting companions being pets first, working dogs second. All animals in my possession are or will be spayed/neutered. I do not and will not breed. Views on hunting with dogs are not up for discussion, it is legal here, and if a good home doing what makes the dog happy is available, I think it is worth a shot. If you can’t stop it, work to improve it is how I feel. We hope to have a working, open relationship with dog hunters and horse owners in our area to improve communication and education for everyone involved. Mississippi needs stronger cruelty laws, and to get this we are going to need as many people standing together as possible!

Next to Pit Bulls, hound dogs are the hardest to place. The population of these dogs is profound in the southern states especially…We evaluate, transport north, treat and rehab (including spay/neuter) these hounds and seek out appropriate forever homes.
