Based in SOUTH FLORIDA, I am a one-woman show. I focus on saving the red-headed dogs from the local shelters and other agencies in homes of finding them a forever home and encouraging people to always adopt…never shop. May we close all pet shops and breeders forever.

Coonhound Opportunities Organization Northwest (NW Coonhound Rescue) is a private certified Washington State non-profit (tax exempt certification) group whose purpose is to find permanent, loving homes for coonhounds, and to educate the public about their qualities. We operate through the help of donations. All donations received go into our rescue account to help with the medical, husbandry, and advertising costs associated with our rescue. We do not require a donation in order to help people place their dogs in new homes. However, we much appreciate any financial help toward our rescue efforts. Donations may be mailed to: Coonhound Rescue, P.O. Box 756, Seabeck, WA, 98380. All donations go directly to caring for the animals (food, toys, bedding, vet bills, etc.).

We are unique in that we are a pro hunting rescue. I am a big advocate of hunting companions being pets first, working dogs second. All animals in my possession are or will be spayed/neutered. I do not and will not breed. Views on hunting with dogs are not up for discussion, it is legal here, and if a good home doing what makes the dog happy is available, I think it is worth a shot. If you can’t stop it, work to improve it is how I feel. We hope to have a working, open relationship with dog hunters and horse owners in our area to improve communication and education for everyone involved. Mississippi needs stronger cruelty laws, and to get this we are going to need as many people standing together as possible!

Next to Pit Bulls, hound dogs are the hardest to place. The population of these dogs is profound in the southern states especially…We evaluate, transport north, treat and rehab (including spay/neuter) these hounds and seek out appropriate forever homes.

Michigan Coonhound Rescue is dedicated to the rescue and placement of Coonhounds in permanent family homes. We work with the Treeing Walker, Redbone, Bluetick and English varieties. We make a lifetime commitment to the dogs we rescue.

Homeless Hounds Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization made up of volunteers that take in Beagles & Coonhounds from various situations. Most coming from animal shelters, families that can no longer care for their pet, and ones found, lost and/or abandoned. We are not a shelter. All our dogs are placed in Foster homes. Our Foster homes provide the dogs with food, behavior modification and lots of love.

We want to change the minds of people who have never owned a hound or experienced the loving and goofy personality that makes them our favorite breeds.

We have been rescuing these wonderful hounds since 2003. We are also a member of Coonhound Companions where our goal is to educate the public about the misconception that hounds do not make good family pets.

We do not have a facility. We operate a network of volunteer based foster homes, so please be aware that the dog you are interested in could be anywhere in Colorado and we will do our best to transport them to your area of meet and greet. We do not and will not give out the location of our foster homes and exact location of where the dogs are located. This is to ensure the safety of the dog. We appreciate your understanding.
