Specializing in Fox Terrier and Schnauzers
We are a Missouri licensed, 501c3 and state non-profit rescuing purebred Boxers and Schnauzers (all three sizes) within the State of Missouri.
Schnauzer Rescue of the Carolinas is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization — all of our tax deductible adoption donations go back into helping care for other rescues. We are a group of volunteers within North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Eastern Tennessee, and Northern Georgia whose sole purpose is to rescue and secure loving, permanent homes for displaced Miniature, Standard, Giant Schnauzers, and occasionally “Endangered Honorary Schnauzers”.
Schnauzer Paws Rescue , based in Ware, Massachusetts has volunteers throughout the New England area that finds homes for rescue and owner turn-in miniature (and occasionally standard) Schnauzers and Schnauzer mixes. We are not-for-profit which means that all donations go towards the care of our dogs. All dogs will be spay/neutered, brought up to date on shots, screened for heartworm and intestinal parasites and the elimination thereof, and have had their teeth cleaned if needed. They are groomed and bathed when we receive them. As we are a rescue group we do not typically have large groups of dogs available at any one time. Our dogs are carefully matched to adoption applicants. Although we place our dogs throughout New England, we do not ship our rescues. After the difficult experiences many of our dogs have experienced, we prefer not to have them suffer the trauma of a long journey. We receive dogs for their owners for various reasons, i.e., divorce, death, moving, lack of time, neglect. We also occasionally receive dogs from shelters that were dropped off there, or picked up as a stray. The dog’s ages vary, but the majority are middle age. We do it for the love of the breed and that we find it very rewarding.
We are a small non-profit organization devoted to rescueing and rehoming schnauzers. We make every attempt to find them a permanent home so they will never be displaced again. We also work with other Rescue groups and Shelters to insure that animals are not euthanized due to limited space.
In addition to our rescue mission, we work as advocates for animal welfare by educating the public about issues such as: Proper training techniques and important health concerns – read about the dangers of heartworm in the endearing story of Otto, our first heartworm positive dog. Preventing pet overpopulation by spaying and neutering. Stopping the mistreatment of animals at puppy mills. Keeping pets secure so they are not lost, stolen or injured
POMH Rescue is a breed-specific rescue for Schnauzers and their mixes.
