During Daylight Savings Time, animal control officers run split shift so they can be available between the hours of 8 a.m. and 10 p.m.
The primary function and intent of Animal Control is to provide protection for the health, safety, and welfare of people and animals within the city. Animal Control Officers are responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergency situations concerning animals and fowl within the city and enforcing related state and local statutes.
