
The dog park is at the corner of 17th Street and Rose Street in Detroit’s historic Corktown neighborhood. The park is adjacent to the Michigan Central Station, and about a block south of Michigan Avenue.
It’s open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.



















































Disc Golf Course/Dog Park. This is a great disc golf course and dogs roam free and happy for acres. There is a creek of sorts on the far end for the dogs to get a drink and take a dip. 2.6 acre fenced off dog park. Location: Green Springs. Directions: Exit 258 Greensprings Ave. off I-65, east, then left on Green Springs Hwy, 0.5 mile, right at 16th Ave. (1st light), then right through the old Apts. up hill past Tennis Center, stay left to back parking lot.



















































Fenced; under the freeway. Has 2 areas–a smaller fenced-in area for dogs under 25 lb; and a large fenced area for larger dogs. Has a poop station in each area with plastic bags and a garbage can. Location: Off Cleveland Ave, downtown, near the old train station and the skateboard park. Directions: From Meridian Street go under the freeway, turn right on Cleveland; it’s right there.



















































Location: Fenced, stream, ponds, trail, restrooms, trees, and water. Hwy 14 and Wire Rd. Go West of Auburn University Vet School.



















































Unofficial dog park, please use a leash here. Not fenced. Location: Highland Avenue. Directions: HW 31 N to Highland Ave; turn right; continue on Highland until you come to Rhodes Park (2nd of three parks on Highland).



















































Off leash walking area for dogs. There are many intertwining trails around Connor’s Lake. Watch out for moose! Location: Parking area at Jewel Lake Road at intersection with International Airport Road, across from Ted Stevens International Airport. Directions: Take International Airport going west toward airport. At Jewel Lake Road make a left, make the first quick left into the parking area.



















































The dog park is for everyone! The dog park offers: 1. Provides a place for dog training 2. Socializes & exercises dogs in a safe place 3. Promotes responsible pet ownership 4. Enables dogs to legally run off-leash 5. Promotes public health and safety 6. Serves people of most ages and physical capabilities



















































Open waste ground area in Sports Park. Location: Anchorage Sports Park, Timberlane & Klatt Road. Directions: From Seward Highway take O’Malley exit. Go west on O’Malley to C Street light; left on C. C turns into Klatt after curve. In winter, only west gate is open further down Klatt from Timberlane.



















































Fabulous trails go all around the lake, some wide open fields, but trails mostly meander through the woods, with many small trails for dogs to circle about on leading to water’s edge and such. Location: Bragaw Street between Tudor and University Drive. Directions: West on Tudor if coming from Seward HWY. Turn left on Bragaw. Parking available across from UAA dorms, or behind Ak Native Hospital on weekends.



















































Multi-use Community Park and Dog Park. Fully fenced and lighted for evening use. Has water faucets and trash receptacles. Location: 12325 W. McDowell Rd. Directions: Take McDowell Rd. Turn south into main entrance. Go right to west end of park.






































































































The dog park has a staging area and a large area for the dogs to roam. It also has an agility course, which is separate from the dog-roaming area. Gated Dog Park. Location: 1400 W. Mesquite St. Directions: Bark Park/Shawnee Park is located south of Elliot and north of Warner just off of Alma School. Head WEST on W. Mesquite St. from Alma School. The park is on the north side of the road. You can park on the road, near the dog park entrance OR you can park in the Shawnee Park parking lot on the east side of the park and walk across (to the west) the children’s playground to the dog park. Also, the park is east of Dobson Rd



















































2 enclosed play areas. 1 for small/passive dogs, 1 for large dogs. Both have large grass areas with water, and some shade. Located at McDonald & Hayden on Southeast corner – enter on McDonald just east of Hayden. Take the 101 to McDonald & turn West to 82nd St lite & turn Left into Parking lot – it says to Off-Leash Area. Or from Hayden & McDonald go East on McDonald & take the 1st Right into Parking lot & right again.



















































This 14,000-square foot lighted facility features: Fido fountain, Scrambling area, Shaded area with ramada, Scooper dispenser



















































Leashed and leash-free dog park – 4 acres. Won Dog Fancy award for best dog park in U.S. Awesome park with lake for dogs to swim, K9 agility equipment, several leash free areas, dog washing areas, dog fountains. Location: 2502 E. Ray Road. (Northeast corner of Ray Road and Santan Loop 202). Directions: From the Santan Loop 202, exit at Higley, turn south to Ray Road, turn west on Ray follow until you see the entrance signs.



















































Large fenced in area with separate areas for active and timid dogs. Location: Greenfield & Knox. Directions: South on Greenfield Road past Warner Road. Turn right at Knox Road. Follow signs for the Dog Park.



















































Open daily 6 a.m.-midnight Creamery Park is fenced, lighted, and includes benches, disposal bags, trash cans, parking, and water.



















































Very big area, separate areas for small & big dogs. Big complex with baseball fields. Lots of children in baseball season. Location: 2 blocks south of Warner on Greenfield’s Rd. make right turn. Directions: I-60 to Greenfield Rd., go South past Warner 2 blocks and make a Right.
