Compassioned Animal Rescue and Education (C.A.R.E.) is a foster home network dedicated to finding loving, permanent homes for animals that are in need of rescue or adoption. C.A.R.E. was formed specifically to be a safety net for “ugly ducklings”, the animals deemed un-adoptable by other agencies and shelters. Over the years of working with many shelters, both private and public, our founders realized that many animals were deemed un-adoptable due to reasons that were correctable and temporary. Most times these were lovely, wonderful animals who were at the lowest point of their lives during the time of rescue, and their behavior, appearance and health could not reasonably be expected to be normal.
