The Western Riverside County/City Animal Shelter in Jurupa Valley serves the public in the county’s western region and the cities that contract with the county for animal control; Those cities are Eastvale, Jurupa Valley and Riverside; The Coachella Valley Animal Campus is based in Thousand Palms and serves the desert cities that include Cathedral City, Coachella, Desert Hot Springs, Indio, La Quinta, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage (the city of Palm Springs has its own animal control department and shelter and is not associated with Riverside County Animal Services); The new Blythe Animal Shelter serves residents in the eastern portion of the county. The new San Jacinto Valley Animal Campus features a clinic with spay & neuter services, vaccinations and microchipping.

The campus features several bungalows with adoptable dogs and a barn area. There is also a community cat adoption room. This newest shelter in our system opened in the fall of 2013.
