Westie Rescue - Westie Rescue of the West Highland White Terrier Society of Connecticut
Rescues West Highland White TerrierWestie Rescue is committed to assisting every West Highland White Terrier (Westie) in need of a new home and is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Each Westie that comes into rescue is very special with a unique background and set of needs. Westies are placed into rescue for a variety of reasons including owner surrendered and those found in shelters. Some of these dogs have come out of traumatic situations. For all of them, it is stressful to lose the home they have known. This does not mean that they will not make wonderful pets. However, just as you may have certain desires about the dog you want to adopt, so each Westie also has special needs, which a rescuer will try to determine through an initial health, background and temperament evaluation.
