We are a small group of volunteers, all Chow Chow owners, who strive to find “forever homes” for Chows in need. We do not have a facility to shelter dogs, we house them throughout Ontario in foster homes. We also act as a liaison between Chows in need of homes and people interested in adopting. We receive information on Chow Chows in need of adoptive homes through branches of the OSPCA, Humane Societies, and other rescue groups, as well as through owners needing to surrender their dogs.
We Rescue chows (& mixes)and help 0wners who can no longer care for their dogs.We re-home saved dogs through our ‘outreach’ program and by posting our dogs on 3 additional websites.  Chow Dog Rescue is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare, rescue and placement of abused, abandoned, neglected and unwanted chows and chow mixes in the United States, Canada and Northern Mexico.
We are a small, independent chow chow rescue located in southwestern Minnesota. We primarily are asked to take homeless chows from shelters in the Midwest and prepare them for adoption into loving permanent homes. All our adoptees are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm checked if old enough. We cannot take owner surrenders, but would be happy to help owners find new homes for their chows by courtesy posting them on this site.
