APW rescue, serves as a model rescue organization, providing a safe and nurturing environment for German shorthaired and wirehaired pointers, while meticulously searching for proper placement.
Dogwood primarily re-homes sporting or gun dogs like Pointer breeds, Vizslas, and Weimaraners. We also rescue “crosses” of these breeds: Dobermans, English Pointers, German Short-haired Pointers, German Wire-haired Pointers, Wirehaired Pointing Griffons, Pudelpointers, Weimaraners, Retrievers, Setters, Vizslas, Spinoni Italianos, Bracco Italianos, Bracque Francais. When we have available resources, we do help with other breeds of dogs.
Friends for Pets Foundation is a volunteer, non-profit charitable organization. We are dedicated to providing veterinary care, comprehensive evaluations and adoptive homes for the sporting breeds of Weimaraners, Golden Retrievers, Dalmatians, Pointers, & Labs who are abandoned, mistreated, neglected, or left in pounds throughout California. Rescue Services are also provided to dogs in acute need of placement due to family circumstances. Since its founding, Friends for Pets Foundation has provided rescue, care and adoption services for more than 3,000 dogs. We average 55 dogs in our kennels.
Spaniel Haven is part of Angels Saving Those In Need 501c3 that focuses on rescue and help of Spaniels anywhere that have run out of options and need help.

Utah’s Perfect Pointers is dedicated to rehoming German Shorthair Pointers, German Wirehair Pointers, Wirehair Pointing Griffons and their close friends from other hunting breeds, including mixes. All the dogs are temperament tested and fully vetted including spay/neuter, routine vaccines and are microchipped.
Nestled in the foothills of Northern California is Bird Dog Relief and Rescue. Our mission is to provide rescued bird dogs a second chance for success; success in the field and in a new forever home as a member of the family. This mission is accomplished through consistent leadership, proper training techniques, and a supportive environment.
DOGWOOD RESCUE SOCIETY co-operates with various rescue organizations in BC, such as the SPCA, Doris Orr Foundation and local shelters, etc. and assists sporting dog breed rescue groups in other provinces and in the US, in finding suitable, loving homes for animals in need. When we have available resources, we do help with other breeds of dogs.

The German Wirehaired Pointer Rescue – Kentucky is a branch of the German Wirehaired Rescue, Inc. located in Olathe, KS. We are a group of volunteers and foster homes that work together to save GWP’s across the country, coordinating our efforts into action!
The East Coast–German Wirehaired Pointer Rescue, Inc. (“EC-GWP” or “Rescue”) is dedicated to caring for homeless German Wirehaired Pointers (“GWPs”) and finding them permanent, loving homes. Although most of the dogs EC-GWP assists are from shelters or were abandoned by owners on the east coast of the US, it serves all dogs in need regardless of location.
GWP Rescue, Inc. is a Non-Profit group based in Kansas. With volunteers in surrounding states, we work with shelters nd owners to find loving homes for their GWP’s in need. We adopt into loving homes after an application, home visit, and reference check is done.
