Silver Sammies is a listing site for older Samoyeds. We are made up of several different Samoyed Rescue groups that all are dedicated to finding wonderful, forever homes for all Samoyeds.
Our primary focus is the rescue, rehabilitation and public education of Sled Dog breeds. These include Huskies, Malamutes, Akita’s and a few others. We also strongly believe in population control through responsible pet ownership and pet alteration. The dogs that we acquire come from high kill overpopulated shelters and owners who have to surrender their dogs for various reasons. Each of our dogs are fully vetted and altered before a new forever home is selected that meets the specific needs of each individual dog in our care.
Operation Sled Dogs is a grass roots group based on knowledge, skills and abilities to assist with the organization and facilitation of re-homing multiple sled dogs / assisting mushers in need.
I save Samoyeds (pure and mixed) from the shelter or I take in unwanted samoyeds from owners.
Samoyed Rescue of Texas, (SRT) is dedicated to rescue Samoyeds that are stray, abandoned, neglected, abused, are deteriorating in area shelters, or are in danger of euthanasia as a result of shelter overcrowding and provide them with loving temporary care, and find them well-matched, carefully screened forever homes
We are a non profit group of volunteers who hate the idea of even one adoptable Samoyed being euthanized at a shelter, or running loose in the street, or chained outside, ignored and alone or… So, we have banded together to save those that we can. We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming Northern Breed dogs in eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland. Our volunteers house our foster dogs in their private homes while trying to find permanent homes for them. Please note: we work in eastern PA, southern NJ, and parts of MD and DE depending on distance.
Rescuing, fostering and finding homes for unwanted, abandoned and abused Northern breed dogs: Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, Samoyeds, and mixes of these breeds.
Samoyed rescue of Utah is a Non-profit group that saves dogs from kill shelters and finds them new loving homes. We are “NOT” a breeder and do not give out information as to where one can get a puppy. We are dedicated to saving the lives of these “White Wonders of Beauty”. We do not sell our rescues, We charge an adoption fee. The fee can range anywhere from $300.00 to $400.00 which covers the cost to have the dog Vet checked, spayed/neutered, have all shots current including rabies, micro chip, grooming and training. All dogs WILL BE spayed/neutered before they go to their new homes. The dogs are temperament tested to be kid, cat and dog friendly. They are also housebroken, crate trained and fully groomed. Adoption includes a free bag of food and a collar.
St. Louis Samoyed Rescue was founded in 1984 by several Samoyed owners who were concerned about the welfare of abandoned and unwanted Samoyeds. Incorporated in the state of Missouri, we are one of the oldest continuing breed specific rescue groups in the St. Louis area.
