There are many words used to describe terriers: feisty, courageous, spirited, lively, curious, energetic, hearty and spunky are just a few. Terriers are also often described as being “big dogs in small bodies”. Terriers falling into the Earthdog category are primarily JRTs, Cairns, Westies and Borders. Although our primary focus will be on terriers, we will also help any other breed as we are able. It is our mission to place all of our dogs in the home that is best suited to provide them with their needs for the rest of their lives. We are a registered, incorporated rescue operating out of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. We are completely reliant upon volunteers and foster homes. Wag N Train Terrier Rescue’s mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, train, and rehome terriers.
I do it because these dogs need me and I probably need them too. I have been rescuing since 1993. It is something that I do on my own without the aid of a breed club.
