3 acre off leash area for dogs is located within the East Marion Park Complex and boasts both a wooded and open area. It also includes a separate fenced area for small dogs. Rules for pet owners are posted at the entrance and include bringing only dogs that are licensed and vaccinated with their tags showing. Dogs visiting this park are required to be at least six months old.

County park with off leash area. The off leash area is not fenced. It goes up hill and there is lots of mud when it rains. No bags, but it is expected to clean up. The park is also great for recreation. During hunting season, it is recommended that you wear bright clothing as well as put a bright cover on your dog. You can buy them at stores like Ganther or Cabella’s. Location: Rt. 136 follow Mingo Creek Park sign. Directions: On Rt. 136 follow Mingo Creek Park. There look for the sigh Off Leash Area.

Huge fenced park. No amenities but lots of space. Location: In South Park off Corrigan Drive. It’s a new facility and can be a real mud pit which the dogs love it. They’re planning to add another one adjacent to the original so the grass can grow. They will rotate which area is open weekly. Directions: Take Rt. 88 South from Pittsburgh. Turn onto Corrigan Drive which is the main drag through South Park. DO NOT EXCEED THE SPEED LIMIT. You are sure to get a ticket. The park is just past the tennis courts on the left about a mile into the park. You will see signs directing you to the wave pool on the right. Take the left at those signs and traffic light. Park just off that road and walk about 100 yards to the enclosure.’

Off Leash Exercise Area. Location: Off Beachwood Blvd. Directions: Drive up beechwood blvd until the big blue slide, walk back on the path towards the OLEA.

Off leash dog park. Guy, the icy ball man (snow cones for non Pittsburghers) is right around the corner! Location: Along train tracks and adjacent to the National Aviary with a duck pond nearby. Directions: Off Western Ave on Pittsburgh’s North Side.

Fenced in area, large area, benches, no water, grassy. Location: Middle road. Directions: Rt 8 to harts run rd, turn left onto middle road. park in lot on right. walk pathway to behind stage.

Off-leash with open fields and lots of wide trails This is a really nice park with over 12 miles of wide trails. They weave through the woods and most circle back to where you started. There are also streams for swimming. There’s an open area about the size of a football field. 2 dogs per person are permitted off leash throughout the entire park if they are under the control of the handler at all times. Horses are also allowed. Location: Fern Hollow Rd. Sewickley Heights, PA. Directions: From Rt. 65, turn into the Quaker Valley Shopping Plaza. Turn right on Beaver Rd. Turn left at the first stop sign onto Big Sewickley Creek Rd. 2 miles turn right on Fern Hollow Rd. Park is 1/2 mile on left.

Fenced in Dog Park in North Park. Has water in non-winter months, picnic tables, and lots and lots of mud. Double gated entrance, area is not flat. Location: Lake Shore Drive and Walter Rd. Directions: Take Pierce Mill Rd to Lake Shore Drive down by the Tennis Court area.

Brand new- Just opened in spring! Still being added to. Separate run areas for large and small dogs. Large parking area. Location: In Brady’s Run Park. Directions: Under the Rt. 60 bridges in Brady’s Run Park. Between the horseshoe rings and the banquet hall at the end of the park.
