Calumet SNAP’s mission is to help low-income Northwest Indiana residents get their pets spayed or neutered safely and affordably. Our goal is to end the euthanasia of adoptable animals in the Calumet region by making spay/neuter services affordable for all pet owners.
A beautiful beach right on Lake Michigan. You can hike up the many dunes including the enormous dune, Mount Baldy. The beach is clean and full of activity. Dogs are allowed on the north side of the beach. It’s a perfect place for you and you dog to cool off on a hot summer day! There are plenty of dogs to meet here, so be prepared for your dog to make some new friends! Just pack everything you need for you and your dog to have a relaxing day at the beach

One small dogs is allowed at Tryon Farm Guest House for a fee of $25/night. $10/night more for a second dog.
Holiday Inn Express La Porte allows up to two dogs of any size per guest room for an additional fee of $35 (for one dog) per stay OR $50 (for two dogs) per stay.
Grand Mere State Park is characterized by magnificent sand dunes, deep blowouts and one mile of Lake Michigan shoreline. Three inland lakes lie behind the dunes in the undeveloped natural area. Dogs are permitted. The hike to the beach is long and moderately challenging. This hike results in an secluded beach where you and your dog can enjoy sun and fun.
Best Western Laporte Hotel & Conference Center accepts two pets of any size for a fee of $50 per pet per stay. Pets are only permitted in smoking rooms.
Super 8 South Bend allows up to two dogs (60 lbs or less) per guest room for an additional fee of $10 per pet per night.
