4100 South Four Mile Run Drive This exercise area is located in the park at the ‘T’ of Arlington Mill Rd, and South Walter Reed Dr. If you drive to it you must enter at the South Four Mile Run entrance close to the DMV. Park and walk east along the bicycle path approximately 1/2 mile toward S. Walter Reed. The dog exercise area is on the left between the bicycle path and water, close to the road.

Off-leash, unfenced, under voice control areas Daily 6 a.m.-10 p.m. Unfenced; area is marked by traffic barriers.

We groom both dogs and cats without force, grooming nooses or harshness.  We treat your best friend with kindness and respect. Options include medicated baths, flea baths, hot oil treatments, bow and bandanas and specialty shampoos. Scaling and polishing of  teeth is available without the use of anesthesia.  Call for an appointment.

Vernon Memorial Hwy from Rt. 1 (Richmond Hwy) and continue just past Rt. 623 to park entrance on left. Off Leash Dog Area is to right, past barn and garden plots on asphalt trail along front of park.

Residence Inn By Marriott Pentagon City is pet friendly! Pets of any size are welcome for an additional fee of $8 per night, plus $200 per stay.

Candlewood Suites Alexandria Fort Belvoir welcomes pets for an additional fee of $75 per stay for stays of 1-6 nights and $150 for stays of 7 nights or more.

Holiday Inn Alexandria-Historic District welcomes up to two well-behaved pets, 50lbs or less, for an additional $50 per pet, per stay.

Sheraton National Hotel welcomes a maximum of one dog, 70lbs or less, per guest room for no additional fee. Dogs cannot be left unattended at any time. Only dogs allowed. All rooms are dog friendly.

801 South Scott St. The park is fenced with two separate areas, one for big dogs and one for small. From 395 North or South, take Columbia Pike West towards Bailey’s Crossroads. Stay in right-hand lane and take right on Scott St. at white church. Go straight until road ends at parking lot. Exercise area is behind the tennis courts.

In the mid-1800’s Fairfax Animal Hospital was a dairy farm.  In the 1930’s beside where we are residing now there was a country store, there were pony rides, and in the 1940’s the airport was right across the street. In 1945 we became the first animal hospital in Fairfax County.
