The Bernalillo County Animal Control and Protection Department’s primary responsibility is to protect the safety, health and welfare of the public while enforcing the humane treatment of animals.
The Brookfield Police Department employs one Animal Control Officer who provides numerous services to the city and its residents.
Stray animals picked up by the Animal Control Officers are taken to the Bedford County Animal Shelter located on Falling Creek Road. Manned by County staff, the shelter is an award-winning facility offering separate climate controlled quarters for dogs and cats, puppies and kittens.
It is the goal of Brigham City’s Animal Control to provide service to the citizens and animals of Brigham City through the professional operation of the Animal Shelter and through animal care and control programs.

La Quinta Inn & Suites Midland North is pet friendly! Up to two pets under 75 lbs. are allowed in each room for no additional fee or deposit.
West Texas Inn And Suites allows up to two dogs (25 lbs or less) per guest room for an additional fee of $10 per pet per night. Larger dogs may be permitted with prior management approval.
Plaza Inn is pet friendly! Up to two pets are allowed of any size with a $100 non-refundable pet fee per pet. No breed restrictions.
The City of Midland’s only off leash dog park. The park has 5 fenced acres that are divided into a large dog area(over 30 lbs) and a small dog area. The large dog area is 3.5 acres and the small dog area is 1.5 acres. Each area has benches and shade structures as well as watering stations and trees. There are restrooms and an adjacent facility with outdoor grills and covered eating areas. Owners must be in the area with their dogs. No children under 8 are allowed and children between 8 and 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Their are doggy potty bags and disposal stations. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. Owners can be asked to leave for not following the posted rules. Open from sunrise to sunset. Location: 1201 E. Wadley. Directions: From I-20 take the Fairgrounds Rd. exit. Go north about 3.5 miles to Wadley. Turn left and go about 3/4 of a mile and the entrance to the park is on the right.
