A.C.T. (Animal Control Team) of Dubois County was organized to fight animal cruelty, neglect, abuse, and find adoptive homes for abandoned and unwanted pets. If you know of an animal in need of our help, please contact us. We promise to investigate all claims and do what it is the best interest of the animal within the confines of the current laws and ordinances.
ACCT Philly is the region’s largest animal care and control service provider, serving the City of Philadelphia by contract. ACCT Philly manages the city’s animal shelter facility in North Philadelphia handling nearly 28,000 animals, from dogs and cats, to small animals, reptiles, birds and wildlife, annually. ACCT Philly is open each and every day of the year for pet adoptions.
Elite Gundogs offers obedience, behavior modification, retriever, pointer, antler shed, search and rescue, assistance training. They also have stud and whelping services, and field bred Labrador retriever puppy sales. Their rescue program takes dogs from local animal shelter and provides them with training to make them more adoptable–they have trained rescue dogs ready for adoption year round, onsite.
The Animal Services Department’s principal mission is to protect the public’s life, health and welfare by the prompt, efficient and humane enforcement of the animal control ordinance. The Animal Services Department also operates the animal shelter efficiently, and humanely providing clean and sanitary confinement with fresh food and water for thousands of animals annually.

They must be current with Vaccinations (Dogs- Rabies, Dhlppc, Bordetella) (Cats- Rabies, Fvrcp), and free from all Parasites (fleas, ticks, worms, etc.) If fleas are seen, flea medication will be applied at owner’s expense.
