Dr. Shanthi Ramachandran holds a Bachelor’s degree in biology and neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania, graduating cum laude, as well as a Master’s degree in Physiology and Biostatistics from Georgetown University. Dr. Tom Ramirez has been in Cabin John for the past 20 years. He spent his childhood in rural PA before making the DC area his permanent home.

Dr. Villar was born in Spain but considers himself a Virginia native, having lived most of his life in Charlottesville. Early on he developed a keen interest in animals, having been in their constant company as a child. His family owned a small farm that at one time or another raised pet horses, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and let’s not forget his prize winning donkey, Mikey.Dr. Villar pursued his Bachelor’s at the University of Virginia.

Dr. Urbanz attended Auburn University where she received a degree in both Zoology and Veterinary Medicine. She then completed a fellowship at the Scott-Ritchey Research Center in veterinary medical studies. Dr. Urbanz completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at University of Minnesota. Dr. Urbanz joined the residency program at Eye Care for Animals in 1999 and became a board certified Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists in 2002.

Guesthouse Intl Opelika allows up to two dogs of any size for a fee of $20/night.
Super 8 Motel Opelika allows dogs of any size in guest rooms for an additional fee of $10 per pet per night. There is no specified limit of the number of pets per guest room.
Days Inn Opelika welcomes a maximum of two pets, of any size, per guest room for an additional $20 per pet, per night.
Quality Inn Opelika is pet-friendly. They welcome two pets (of any size) for a an additional fee of $25 per stay.
Motel 6 is the original pet friendly hotel chain! Pets stay for free, and there is no weight limit or restriction on the number of dogs per room.
Travelodge Opelika allows two pets of any size for a fee $10 per pet per night.
Red Roof Inn Valley is Dog friendly only ( no other animals). Their fee is $25.00 per stay, a maximum of 2 dogs per room. Sorry no pit bulls allowed.
Days Inn Lanett Al allows dogs of any size for an additional fee of $10 per pet per night.
Multiple pets of any size are allowed for an additional fee $10 per pet, per night.
