Heaven Can Wait opened Nevada’s first private, non-profit Spay/Neuter Clinic in June 2009. The goal of our clinic is to provide sterilization to 10,000 – 15,000 high-risk animals that otherwise would have been left to continually have litters in the community. This uncontrolled birth rate is responsible for over 30,000 animals a year being killed at our local shelters simply because they run out of room. We will never make a positive impact if we simply continue to try to adopt our way out of this problem. The only solution to reduce the numbers that are impounded and ultimately euthanized is to reduce the birth rate. Our clinic is designed to facilitate efficient, high quality spay/neuter services. The veterinarians, medical and non-medical staff were selected because they are specialized in sterilization services and have demonstrated the compassion and professionalism required in this unique, stressful environment. Four days a week, we offer low-cost and targeted no-cost spay/neuter. At the time of surgery low-cost vaccines are also available for an additional fee. Eligibility is determined using several factors, including the breed of the animal and the financial situation of the owner.

Dog Run. Separate large and small dog runs; each about 1/3 acre. Water and bags provided. New trees, all gravel, covered benches. Park is beautiful with fishing lake, rose garden, picnic areas, tennis courts, museum, etc. The dog runs in comparison were disappointing, not what I’d call a ‘park’, but at least it’s a leash free space. Location: 3494 W. Washington Ave. Directions: Hwy 95, north on Rancho, west on Washington, south on Twin Lakes Dr. Dog run in parking lot of Museum/Senior Center.
All Clark County/Las Vegas dog park areas include water, seating and waste receptacles, Daily 6 a.m.-11 p.m.
