Dog Boarding- Guests enjoy plenty of supervised playtime on 6 acres of play yards and trails. Accommodations include roomy sleeping areas adjoining exercise runs. Bedding is provided.
Dog Training- Our goal is to help each client understand how to best communicate with their dog so that a relationship based on love and respect can be developed and maintained in and out of the home. Please call to schedule a Meet and Greet with our Trainer to determine which training program best fits you and your dog’s needs.
Doggie Daycare- Don’t leave your dog at home alone all day. Bring them in to the resort for a special fun filled day. Here they can enjoy seeing other dogs, enjoy human companionship, and play in one of our outside play yards.
All dogs are required to have a Meet and Greet before staying at Topanga Pet Resort.
- Our office is open 7 days a week from 8 AM to 6 PM, including holidays
- Abbeywood is always staffed with the on-premises owner, as well as after-hours staff who are available from 7 pm to 10 pm to let each dog out in the large exercise area, give nighttime medications if necessary and check each dog’s inside bedding.
- 24 hour on-call veterinary care is available
- Abbeywood has a superb record of safety and reliability. We have passed our yearly unscheduled kennel inspections, made by the Sonoma County Animal Control and Regulation Department, for more than 32 years.

I dont use cages, or load force dryers- everything is done one one one and by hand. I use natural shampoos and take specail care to your dogs. I hand dry and handsissor all dogs and specailize in puppy cuts. I offer very reasonable rates and short stays. Marina and Fairway. It is just south of the channel bridge as you go along the shoreline next to the golf course. Park at the south end of Marina Park and walk over the bridge and you will find it.
Large off-leash area, limited grass (mostly brush, dirt and some rocky areas). 70 acre+ area, some picnic tables, limited water outlets and restrooms (please bring a water bottle on hot days). Adjacent to Oakland Airport. Lots of ground squirrels and trees. Perfect place for sniffy noses and very safe too! Potty bags available at entrance. Location: Neptune Dr. Directions: Take the Marina exit off of the 880, and go west towards the Marina. Make a right onto Doolittle and a left at Williams. Go to the end and make a right (my doggie brain thinks it is called Neptune Dr.). Follow to the end. The entrance is on the west side. Use a leash for the first 500 feet, them, let ’em roam!

The absence of barking dogs is the biggest difference. Excessive barking creates anxiety and stress in other dogs, for this reason we limit the amount of pets in our spa at any one time. Appointments are made as you would do in a hair salon, to allow for that individualized pampering. Calming sound, scent, touch and above all patience is used to help reduce stress during the grooming process. Because we schedule appointments at specific times we are able to offer grooming ‘kennel free.’ No more long days spent in a cage. We strongly encourage you to make arrangements to have your pet picked-up once their session is complete, anywhere from 1 to 3 hours.
