VMSG’s offers advanced care in internal medicine including oncology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, cardiology, neurology, urology, immunology, as well as pulmonary and reproductive disorders. The internal medicine specialists have extensive training which allows them to perform advanced medicine diagnostics and procedures such as Endoscopy. In addition, chemotherapy can be performed on premises by the VMSG IM Specialists.

Currently the one beach that is legal for off leash use in the City of Santa Barbara is the beach that runs below the Douglas Family Preserve — it begins east of the slough at Arroyo Burro (Hendry’s) Beach, and stretches almost to the steps at Mesa Lane. The fallen eucalyptus trees are considered the eastern boundary. From the parking lot at Arroyo Burro, walk to the beach, turn left, and cross the slough — this will bring you to the off-leash legal area. Please be sure your dog is leashed in the parking lot and on the beach until you cross the slough.

Currently, we have four veterinarians on staff: Dr. Mobraaten, Dr.Trujillo, Dr. Hunter, and Dr. DeBaene. All of our doctors treat both dogs and cats, and Dr. Mobraaten and Dr. Trujillo also treat pocket pets such as rats, hamsters, and rabbits. In addition to traditional Western veterinary medicine, we are pleased to offer holistic veterinary medicine and alternative therapies such as acupuncture, cold laser therapy, and Chinese herbal medicine. These alternative therapies are offered by our associate veterinarian Dr. Anja Hunter.
