Dr. Villar was born in Spain but considers himself a Virginia native, having lived most of his life in Charlottesville. Early on he developed a keen interest in animals, having been in their constant company as a child. His family owned a small farm that at one time or another raised pet horses, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and let’s not forget his prize winning donkey, Mikey.Dr. Villar pursued his Bachelor’s at the University of Virginia.

Dr. Urbanz attended Auburn University where she received a degree in both Zoology and Veterinary Medicine. She then completed a fellowship at the Scott-Ritchey Research Center in veterinary medical studies. Dr. Urbanz completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at University of Minnesota. Dr. Urbanz joined the residency program at Eye Care for Animals in 1999 and became a board certified Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists in 2002.

Mission: Our goal at Hybla Valley Veterinary Hospital is to provide good veterinary care at reasonable prices. Hospital background: Hybla Valley Veterinary Hospital was a small animal hospital established in 1948 by Dr. E. J. Schrenzel. Although many changes have occured in southeastern Fairfax County, Hybla Valley Veterinary Hospital has remained fairly consistent. From our first home, which was in a small building with a few cages, we have grown to several examination rooms and 30 boarding cages. The Red Roof Alexandria welcomes one pets, 60 lbs or less, for no additional fee. Two dogs are welcome with prior approval from the hotel, depending on the size of the dogs.
