Fidalgo Animal Medical Center was founded in 1978 by Dr. Robert Bjerk who after a few years had Dr. Bill Testerman join him as a partner. In 2005, Dr. Pauli Bezzola and Dr. Ian Marshall purchased the clinic, and continue to provide high quality veterinary care for the small animals of Anacortes and the surrounding areas. Fidalgo Animal Medical was opened with the understanding that pets are part of the family and that they deserve the best medical care possible. We continue to work with that philosophy today. Our clinic has multiple veterinarians and a fully trained support staff, including licensed veterinary technicians. We advocate quality medicine, client education, community support and the bond between humans and their pets. Harbour Towers Hotel And Suites is pet friendly! Two pets under 50 lbs are welcome for an additional fee of $35 per 5 night stay. Cats are also welcome.
Once you go past Flemming Beach and Buxton Green to the breakwater it opens up to an off leash paradise for pups and stunning views for their owners. If you want a social gathering head here on a weekday at about 5:30pm and all the locals and their dogs are out. The locals meet on top of the hill but there are 2 looping paths you can walk as well. The inner path is less remarkable but keeps you out of the wind on the days the weather isn’t at it’s best. The outer path is larger and has stunning views. There are also a few trails down to small beaches, for a cool dip. There is no drinking water at this park so bring a water bottle. The pups get thirsty with all the playing.

The Hotel Grand Pacific is pet friendly! One pet (40 lbs or less) is welcome for an additional fee of $50 per stay. There is a limited number of pet friendly rooms available.
This 11.8 hectare parcel of land is owned by the University of Victoria. It is being reserved for future development of the University, but over recent years it has acted informally as a well known off leash dog park. Other current uses include soil storage and processing by the Facilities Management Department and a forest biology research area. The parcel mainly consists of open field, with remnants of a former orchard. There is fencing around 98% of the park with a couple of openings down into Mystic Vale Hot and dry in summer – bring water Extremely muddy in winter, the dogs seem to love it but you’ll need gumboots. Waste bins are supplied by the university.
Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour allows up to two pets of any size for a $50 fee. Please note pets are only allowed in third floor rooms.
