Great Neck Veterinary Clinic has the services your pet needs for any situation. We prefer our patients call ahead and schedule an appointment, but we will gladly accommodate walk-ins. For the convenience of our current clients, we will take nail trims, anal gland expressions, most blood draws, and other technician appointments without a scheduled appointment. Please call to check staff availability and minimize your wait for these visits. Examinations start at $39 and will vary based on the treatment, services, and medications your pet requires. If you can anticipate what your pet?s may need, call our office and we?d be happy to discuss an estimate with you. To provide the best care, we prefer to see our clients at our facility, but we will perform house calls under special circumstances. For established patients up to date on their vaccines, we offer Doggy Day Clinic and runs for larger dogs in addition to our comprehensive medical services. If you are interested, call our office for more information. Great Neck Veterinary Clinic is also proud to offer the services of our pet pharmacy. In order to obtain prescription refills, the patient must have received a physical exam and blood work within the past year. Before new patients can receive a medication refill, they must have a physical exam with one of our excellent veterinarians and present an authorized prescription from their previous vet. We can also provide prescriptions diets and will supply them to both existing and new clients. However, we ask that the previous veterinarian of new clients contact use regarding your pet?s prescription diet. You may conveniently request your refills by phoning (757) 481?2800. Your medicine will be available for pick-up anytime Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., or Saturday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Always remember to follow your veterinarian?s instructions and the directions on the label when administering the medication to your pet. For situations that can?t wait, check out our emergencies page. Please take note: Refills on previously prescribed medications should be called in at least one day ahead of time so your veterinarian may review your pet?s history and progress before approving the refill.
