Mission: Our goal at Hybla Valley Veterinary Hospital is to provide good veterinary care at reasonable prices. Hospital background: Hybla Valley Veterinary Hospital was a small animal hospital established in 1948 by Dr. E. J. Schrenzel. Although many changes have occured in southeastern Fairfax County, Hybla Valley Veterinary Hospital has remained fairly consistent. From our first home, which was in a small building with a few cages, we have grown to several examination rooms and 30 boarding cages. The professional staff has grown from solo practice by Dr. Schrenzel to three veterinarians and we hope to add a fourth doctor to our practice in the near future.
The Atlas District Veterinary Hospital (AtlasVet) will strive to provide the best medical care for companion animals in Capitol Hill and the Washington, DC area. AtlasVet will accomplish this by having an educated, friendly staff, by using the most up-to-date medical techniques and equipment, by providing proactive animal health care solutions to the community, and by helping pet owners understand and strengthen the human-animal bond.

Dr. Villar was born in Spain but considers himself a Virginia native, having lived most of his life in Charlottesville. Early on he developed a keen interest in animals, having been in their constant company as a child. His family owned a small farm that at one time or another raised pet horses, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and let’s not forget his prize winning donkey, Mikey.Dr. Villar pursued his Bachelor’s at the University of Virginia.

From Quaker Ln, take first right onto 32nd Rd. Take next right onto S. Stafford St. and follow curve to the Yield sign. Turn left at sign (32nd St.) Park at the bottom of the hill or along sides of the streets. The dog exercise area is on the other side of the softball diamond from the parking lot.

Heading east on Four Mile Run take a right on Nelson. Heading west take a left. Go straight and park behind the storage facility. The area is between the facility and the water. 4100 South Four Mile Run Drive This exercise area is located in the park at the ‘T’ of Arlington Mill Rd, and South Walter Reed Dr. If you drive to it you must enter at the South Four Mile Run entrance close to the DMV. Park and walk east along the bicycle path approximately 1/2 mile toward S. Walter Reed. The dog exercise area is on the left between the bicycle path and water, close to the road.
