Dog Boarding- Guests enjoy plenty of supervised playtime on 6 acres of play yards and trails. Accommodations include roomy sleeping areas adjoining exercise runs. Bedding is provided.
Dog Training- Our goal is to help each client understand how to best communicate with their dog so that a relationship based on love and respect can be developed and maintained in and out of the home. Please call to schedule a Meet and Greet with our Trainer to determine which training program best fits you and your dog’s needs.
Doggie Daycare- Don’t leave your dog at home alone all day. Bring them in to the resort for a special fun filled day. Here they can enjoy seeing other dogs, enjoy human companionship, and play in one of our outside play yards.
All dogs are required to have a Meet and Greet before staying at Topanga Pet Resort.

- Abbeywood is always staffed with the on-premises owner, as well as after-hours staff who are available from 7 pm to 10 pm to let each dog out in the large exercise area, give nighttime medications if necessary and check each dog’s inside bedding.
- 24 hour on-call veterinary care is available
- Abbeywood has a superb record of safety and reliability. We have passed our yearly unscheduled kennel inspections, made by the Sonoma County Animal Control and Regulation Department, for more than 32 years.

Park is less than a mile on your right

Hyatt Place Mohegan Sun allows two pets under 50 lbs for a fee of $150 for the first pet and an additional $50 for the second pet.
Quality Inn Plainfield welcomes a maximum of two pets, 12 lbs or less, per guest room for an additional $10 per pet per night.
There is an enforced leash law in Branford so be careful as this is NOT a town recognized dog park. They usually leave you alone but the partial fenced part is a kids softball field so if there is a game it may be an issue. That is an actual pond but watch out for the swans they will chase your dog Field w/pond-Wooded trails, swimming pond, trails, lots of friendly dogs and people. Leash dog on the way to the field. This is a very nice place to take your dog, it has trails which are marked, there are several routes to take. Also a semi-fenced in field. I felt comfortable enough to let my dog go w/o a leash. I would bring water, and you also must bring a leash. I did not feel comfortable letting my dog swim in the pond, as it was very ‘pond like’. It was a very nice park overall. It took us about 40 minutes to circle around once. Location: I95N to exit 56. Make right follow to stop sign. Make right on to Rt.146. Follow 146 quite a ways, very twisty turny, you will have to make a hard left to keep following 146, veer right @ fork, there will be a golf course, Young Park will be on your right, entrance is on right.
