Dog TrainersStart your new puppy off on the right paw with puppy training classes that encourage and reinforce good behaviors. Some day they will grow up just not yet. This class is for puppies 8 weeks to 5 months. Our puppy course is a great introduction to teach your puppy to walk nicely on a leash, sit politely for petting, how to properly greet people and dogs, trim nails, prevent separation anxiety, the great crate debate, and potty training. Beginner Obedience Class-Have you wanted to have your dog be a therapy dog to visit hospitals, schools, libraries or nursing homes? This is the class for you. The class is an 8 week program. Does your dog misbehave when excited? The class includes your dog focusing on you, heeling, coming when called, sit, down, stay, returning to heel position, stand for exam, leave it from food and stuff on the ground. Each dog is different, and each is treated in away that leads to reshaping of their behaviors. By the end of this 8 week course you and your dog should learn these basic commands and to be a canine good citizen. Intermediate Obedience Class-Dogs and handlers are prepared for more advance work based on their needs and ability level and any competitions they plan on entering. Many handlers continue on in these classes even if they don’t compete, simply because they and their dog are having fun and expanding their training skills. Rally Class-In this class you learn the correct performance of each of the AKC Rally signs and practice running short sequences of signs. It is expected that participants are already proficient in loose leash heeling, short stays and other basic obedience skills. For the Intermediate level on up will be off leash. Class participants will receive practice in running courses and will review rules and regulations including scoring requirement.
