Canine Boarding:
Dogs staying with us have the benefit of having both indoor and outdoor access. At night or in extreme heat or cold weather, they have bedrooms in our climate controlled dorms. During the day each of our canine guests have a private outdoor patios/runs where they get to see what’s going on around them and enjoy the day, weather permitting, and most importantly get fresh air and stimulation!
Our standard boarding rates include food that we are happy to provide. We use Nature’s Domain Grain Free Salmon Formula. We top it with a “gravy” made of Canned food mixed with warm water.
Should you decide to bring your pet’s food from home, we ask that you bag each serving individually with the portioned amounts enclosed. For example, if your pet is staying with us for 3 days and your pet eats one cup once a day, you would need to bring 3 Ziploc bags, each with one cup of food ready to dispense. If your pet is staying 3 days and eats twice a day, you would bring 6 bags with the exact amount of dry food ready for feeding. We do have a refrigerator if your pets diet requires it.
For the pampered pooch, we also have our luxury suites! Each of our suites is has a unique theme and décor to match!
Our staff interacts with the dogs throughout the day by talking, petting, feeding, and cleaning them. Optional play sessions, brushing, or cuddle sessions are available to provide your pet with even more attention.
A daily record is kept of each dog’s habits during their stay and our qualified staff is on the alert for potential concerns. Each pet is checked daily for cleanliness, health and emotional well-being.
While your dog(s) stay with us, you may choose to add on additional services for their comfort. We provide a wide array of options for dogs from puppy-hood into their senior years. Please check out our rates and reservation page to view what we have to offer!
We offer a special care ward for our senior, convalescing or nervous pets. Please note that additional fees may be required for special handling. If you have a dog that may fall into this category, please call us to discuss your concerns prior to your scheduled stay.
Feline Boarding:
Cats staying with us have the benefit of like-home living quarters. Our cattery is located in our main building and situated such that our kitty visitors won’t see or hear the canine guests at the hotel. Our cattery is climate controlled to ensure that the cats in our care are in the most comfortable environment possible. Our exhaust and ventilation system provides for twelve, 100% fresh air changes per hour.
We offer kitty rooms, multi-level and expandable condos to allow for more space or to allow felines from the same family to live together, as well as spacious window suites. All of our accommodations feature soft beds and kitty toys! Our guests are fed twice daily and are looked after by our meticulous caretakers who closely monitor and fuss over each kitty.
While your cat(s) stay with us, you may choose to add on additional services for their comfort. We provide a wide array of options for the cats from interactive playtimes to grooming sessions. Please check out our rates and reservation page to view what we have to offer.
Sonoran Suites of San Diego is pet friendly! Up to two pets of any size are allowed with a $200 deposit with $100 being refundable at check-out. Cats are welcome. No aggressive breeds.
The goal of Kindred Spirits is to help families and their dogs to build happy and successful life-long relationships. Liz Palika has been teaching dogs and their owners in San Diego’s North County for 25 years. Her training is based on an understanding of dogs and what makes them ‘tick.’ With her business partners Petra Burke and Kate Abbott, Kindred Spirits Dog Training in Vista, CA has more than 700 dogs per year in its dog training program. In addition to puppy, beginning and intermediate classes, Kindred Spirits offers fun activities for families and their dogs: agility, trick training, therapy dog training, carting, flyball, and an assortment of special events like canine freestyle (dancing with your dog) and their annual Halloween party. Safety training events include an annual rattlesnake avoidance clinic and Red Cross Pet First Aid. All of these take place at their beautiful park-like outdoor facility in Vista.
Our goal in training is to teach your dog to trust us and when that’s done, to follow our voice command. In the ‘trust phase’ of training the dog learns that we are fair but firm. Your dog sees that we treat it with respect and expects respect in return. The dog learns above all that we are consistent and when we ask him or her to do something they must do it.

Sandy Pawz Dog House offers classes from puppy socialization all the way up to advanced obedience. Group classes and individualized training are both available. If you’d like to learn about pet CPR, those classes are also available. They not only train the dog, they teach you how to get the most from the training the dog has received. In the group classes you train your dog with their guidance. Classes are held at their facility where the dogs (and people) enjoy a thickly rubber padded sealed flooring material for safety, comfort and traction.
