Wide open field, extensive woodsy hiking trails. Location: Walnut Street in Germantown. Directions: From Ridge Ave in Roxborough, Turn onto Walnut towards Germantown. Bear right at rotary, take your first right to enter the park. Fun park, lots of space. Lots of picnics/barbeques in summer, so sometimes owners must watch dogs carefully. GREAT hiking trails and stream swimming.
Cheltenham/ Wyncote Park. Separate areas for s/l dogs, clean, large dog area is very large!! People are friendly. you can bring your water. Enter on Washington Lane. follow 73w to Washington Lane, left on Washington, park entrance a mile or so on your right. Location: Curtis Hall Arboretum is bordered by Greenwood Ave, Church Road and Washington Lane with access on all three roads. Car access to the Bark Park is off Washington Lane. Directions: Bark Park entrance is off Washington Lane. Using Church Road: If eastbound on Church: turn right/if westbound: turn left onto Washington Lane (towards Philadelphia!) Proceed about 1/4 mile downhill. Near the base of the hill is a small bridge. Just before the bridge is a small gated street/driveway on your right (passenger side). This is Curtis Hall’s Drive. Turn in and follow the road to the first parking lot. The Bark Park is on the east side of the lot. From Cheltenham Ave & Washington Lane: turn onto Washington Lane (heading for the suburbs!). Proceed about 1 mile and you will go down a small hill with a little bridge at the borrom. Just after the bridge is a small gated street/driveway on your left (driver’s side). This is Curtis Hall’s Drive. Turn in and follow the road to the first parking lot. The Bark Park is on the east side of the lot (very obvious).
