Park for unleashed dogs. Location: 12 Mile Rd and Van Dyke Ave. You need a swipe card to enter the fenced in park, you can get this from the City County bldg which is on Common Rd and Van Dyke. Directions: 1 block west of Van Dyke right of 12 mile road; go west on 12 mile past the Speedway service station on the corner of Van Dyke, ‘Dog Park’ sign on the west side of the street.

The dog park is at the corner of 17th Street and Rose Street in Detroit’s historic Corktown neighborhood. The park is adjacent to the Michigan Central Station, and about a block south of Michigan Avenue.

It’s open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

2 fenced in areas one for big dogs and one for small dogs. Location: Merriman and Ann Arbor Trail. Directions: Depending on which direction you are driving, north or south on Merriman, turn into the park, at the first stop sign make a right. Make that first left around the circle. When you see a crossing bridge, park in that area, walk across the bridge and the 2 fenced in areas will be on your left.

2 acres, fully fenced, dog water fountain, benches, trees, pooper. Located at Lafayette & Groesbeck in Mount Clemens, MI. Take M-59 (Hall RD) to M-97 (Groesbeck Road)…go south on Groesbeck. You will pass a stop light, a large factory (on your left), and an old fighter plane (on your right). Soon after the factory, you will see baseball fields on your left. Turn left on to the street just after the fields. There is a sign on the street that reads, ‘Distribution Center.’ The dog park is on your right.

Daily or annual vehicle permit required. Features a 13-acre fenced enclosure with benches and picnic tables; drinking water nearby, water fountain and shelter. Location: 52251 Pontiac Trail (between Old Plank and Wixom Roads). Directions: From I-696 exit Wixom Road to North. Turn left on Pontiac Trail. Lyon Oaks County Park is about 1.5 ahead on the left. Once in the park, follow the signs to the Bark Park.

A large area of the park is fenced in for the dog park. The area is open to the Saline River to allow your pet to swim. Location: End of W. Bennett St. just past elementary school. Location: 7185 Gillette Rd. Directions: Located 5 miles West of I-75 Exit 126 (Mt. Morris Rd). Approx 10 miles South of Frankenmuth/Birch Run Mall area.

Metro park that offers a sizable off-leash area for dogs of all sizes. Location: E Cavanaugh Rd. Directions: Right off of 127/496/96. Take the Jolly exit which actually puts you on Dunckel Rd. Go WEST (right) off of the exit on Dunckel and turn RIGHT onto E CAVANAUGH. Cavanaugh curves to go south and Hawk Island County Park is right after Aurelius, but before Pennsylvania.

Fenced dog park on the Bay County Fairgrounds site. Location: 800 Livingston St. Directions: From I-75, exit at 162-A onto M-25, the Downtown Bay City exit. from there stay on M-25 and head east over the river and through Bay City. When you get to Livingston Street at the edge of the city limits there will be a light. Make a left. Go for about 1/8 of a mile and the park and county fairgrounds will be on the right.

5 acres fence in. Location: Behind city garage off of Route 83, Off of Route 83.

About two acres small gravel and grassy area, water fountain, ‘poop’ bags and responsible owners. Location: Lakewood Wastewater Treatment Plan off of Detroit Road in the Metroparks. Directions: I 90 to McKinley exit. N to Detroit Road. L to ‘Boat Ramp’ and Metroparks entrance (about 1 mile).

London’s second largest off-leash park is located within Stoney Creek Meadows, on Adelaide Street North at Windermere Road. Surrounded by trees and meadows, this off-leash area is completely fenced and offers an open area and trails through a naturalized area. There is also an area for small dogs, with a separate entrance from the parking lot. Site amenities include parking, double-gated entrances, garbage containers, benches, rule sign, bulletin board, and a portable toilet. Please be considerate of wildlife and other park users and leash your dog when outside of the fenced area. This area is located in the floodplain and is subject to flooding.
