The Bernalillo County Animal Control and Protection Department’s primary responsibility is to protect the safety, health and welfare of the public while enforcing the humane treatment of animals.
The Brookfield Police Department employs one Animal Control Officer who provides numerous services to the city and its residents.
Stray animals picked up by the Animal Control Officers are taken to the Bedford County Animal Shelter located on Falling Creek Road. Manned by County staff, the shelter is an award-winning facility offering separate climate controlled quarters for dogs and cats, puppies and kittens.
It is the goal of Brigham City’s Animal Control to provide service to the citizens and animals of Brigham City through the professional operation of the Animal Shelter and through animal care and control programs.
Animal Services is responsible for enforcing the laws that protect animals, sheltering and returning stray pets to their owners and promoting responsible pet ownership.
The Bullhead City Animal Care & Welfare Facility houses domesticated and stray animals, reunites lost pets with owners and enforces City ordinances pertaining to animals.
The Animal Control Division is responsible for responding to complaints dealing with all types of animals. This service generally concentrates on the dog population of the Town, but is also responsible for complaints dealing with raccoons, deer, trapped wildlife, and other concerns dealing with domestic or wild animals.

Jon has a unique ability to work with some of the most deemed aggressive dogs, and has taken on some of the most difficult cases with dogs from high kill shelters in California, and other shelters in the Western US. He also offers his services to rescue dogs who need additional training and socialization, and has been instrumental in the adoption of over 300 rescued dogs in the last year. Jon’s unique approach to training, what he likes to call Progressive Training Solutions for the Real World, has improved the lives of dogs and their owners for over 16 years. Jon made the move to Evanston Wyoming in January 2013, and opened up his state of the art dog training facility there. He also offers his training services in Northern Utah, and serves clients from all over the Western United States. Jon truly has a gift in the way he understands dogs, and will continue to devote his life, sharing this gift with others.
