Shore Dogs dog park is a fully fenced park with both an area for large dogs and one for small dogs. The park is part grass, part DG. Water bowls are available along with poop cans, scoops and plastic bags. There is plenty of parking. The park is open from dawn until dusk. Fenced, off-leash dog exercise park. Location: Radio Road. Directions: From San Francisco International Airport, take 101 South and exit at Holly Street/Redwood Shores Pkwy. Stay to the left in the fork and circle around up over the freeway. Stay on Redwood Shores Parkway for about 2.4 miles to Radio Road. Turn right on Radio Road to the stop sign and turn right again, (entrance to the dog run is a short distance from the stop sign on your right).

Memorial Park put up for a Loved Dog. Complete with agility run, small & large dog areas. Location: Mission Blvd at Appian Way. Directions: 880 Decoto Exit towards the hills, Right on Mission Blvd, corner of Mission Blvd and Appian Way.

Separate small dog area. Location: Camden Ave and Lancaster Drive.

Boothbay Avenue and Edgewater Lane

Small Park with fencing. Good park. There are separate areas for big dogs and little dogs, poop bags, water, picnic tables and some agility toys. Location: Foster City Blvd. Directions: From S.F. take 101 South to the Hillsdale exit. Go east on Hillsdale Blvd. until Foster City Blvd. then turn right. Park is on the right at the corner of Foster City Blvd. and Bounty.

Off Leash Dog Park. Located inside Jefferey Fontana Park near a children’s playground – entertainment for the whole family. Location: Corner of Golden Oak Way and Castello Drive.

The dog off leash area is about 1 acre in size with a 6 foot chain link fence enclosure. It is about 2/3 grass and 1/3 other terrain, such as dirt and tambark. The park has several established walnut trees, park benches and a couple of picnic tables for the humans to relax. The is a water and bucket for the dogs to drink from. Clean up tools are provided. Directions: 101 to Hellyer, following signs toward Coyote River Park. Go straight through stop sign. Stop at entrance and pay $4.00 (or $50 for a year) for park access. Go straight 1/2 mile and you’ll see dog park.

Location: off 3rd Avenue in San Mateo. Directions: from 101 north or south bound take East 3rd Avenue and follow it out until you see Shoreline Park area.

Fenced half-acre site on the west side of the 30-acre park. Located at 1970 Via Buena Vista. From 880 take Hesperian exit. Turn Right at Bokman St. Left at Via Carmen follow road around to the right and road will eventually dead end at the San Lorenzo Community park.

Interstate 680 to Castlewood Drive, left on Foothill Road.

Dog Exercise Park. Location: 1125 Airport Blvd. Directions: From San Francisco: Exit at Broadway towards Burlingame. Turn a slight left to take the ramp toward the overpass. Turn Right on Rollins Rd. Turn Right on Broadway. Turn Right on Bayshore Hwy. And then turn Left onto Airport Blvd. Entire distance after leaving the freeway should be less than 1 mile.

Two off leash dog runs. Amenities include picnic tables, barbecues, a play area, two parking lots, rest rooms, an open lawn area, and of course two fenced dog runs. The hours are from dawn to dusk seven days a week. Location: 4660 Crow Canyon. Directions: At the end of Paradise Knls off of Center St.

Hours: 5pm to 8pm. Fenced, benches, handicap access, poopbag dispenser, trees, water, restrooms, trashcans, shelter. Located on Miyuki Drive, off Santa Theresa Blvd, a few blocks east of the Santa Theresa Community Hospital at Cottle Road. Fenced, poopbag dispenser, benches, double-gated entry.

Marina and Fairway. It is just south of the channel bridge as you go along the shoreline next to the golf course. Park at the south end of Marina Park and walk over the bridge and you will find it.

4,600 acre park. In Castro Valley, go North on Redwood to Marciel Gate. 510-635-0135.

Large off-leash area, limited grass (mostly brush, dirt and some rocky areas). 70 acre+ area, some picnic tables, limited water outlets and restrooms (please bring a water bottle on hot days). Adjacent to Oakland Airport. Lots of ground squirrels and trees. Perfect place for sniffy noses and very safe too! Potty bags available at entrance. Location: Neptune Dr. Directions: Take the Marina exit off of the 880, and go west towards the Marina. Make a right onto Doolittle and a left at Williams. Go to the end and make a right (my doggie brain thinks it is called Neptune Dr.). Follow to the end. The entrance is on the west side. Use a leash for the first 500 feet, them, let ’em roam!

Separate areas for small and large dogs. There are no restroom facilities. Location: Stagecoach Road and Amador Valley Blvd. Directions: Take 580 to Hopyard/Doughtery Rd. Head north. Turn left on Amador Valley Blvd. The dog park will be on your right hand side about 4-6 blocks.

An enclosed quarter-acre run for small dogs under 20-pounds. There are often specific breed meetings held at this location, like daschund. Location: 3300 Finnian Way (Keegan Street at Maguire Way). Directions: Take 580 and exit at Tassajera. Go North to Dublin Blvd and turn right. Follow Dublin Blvd to Keegan and turn left. Go two more blocks and the dog park will be on your left at the corner.
