My name is Les Wilner. I have been a small animal practitioner for 33 years. While in my practice, I employed the use of conventional and alternative veterinary medicine. Rather than just relying on treating symptoms, I investigated deeply into possible causes for chronic conditions in my patients. Usually more than office visit time would be needed. Phone discussions with clients were a large part of seeking answers. Often times, the solution to a problem could be found in the pet?s environment or diet.

Though technically not a Dog Park, dogs are permitted at the south end of the park, and many neighborhood dogs go there every day to meet and play. Park staff does monitor the dogs’ activity, and will enforce the leash law if the situation looks dangerous to them. The City of Aventura is currently reviewing plans for a dog park. Interested residents should contact the City’s Parks and Recreation Department to voice their opinions and/or get more information. Residence Inn Miami Aventura Mall allows one dog (30 lbs or less) per guest room for an additional fee of $100 per stay. An additional pet may be permitted with prior management approval.
Ramada Marco Polo Beach Resort welcomes a maximum of two pets, 25lbs or less, per guest room for an additional $50 per pet, per stay. Pets are only allowed in rooms with tile floors.

The Alexander All Suite Ocean Front Resort allows one dog (10 lbs or less) per guest room for an additional fee of $250 per stay as well as a refundable deposit of $250 per stay.

In Pinetree Park, at Pinetree Drive and 45th Street. [MAP] The Pinetree Bark Park was built during Pinetree Park’s reconstruction last year, and has also become quite popular. It features two large, connected dog runs with a gate in between. Usually the connecting gate is left open, giving the dogs ample room to run and play. Running water was recently run to both pens.
