County park with off leash area. The off leash area is not fenced. It goes up hill and there is lots of mud when it rains. No bags, but it is expected to clean up. The park is also great for recreation. During hunting season, it is recommended that you wear bright clothing as well as put a bright cover on your dog. Off-leash with open fields and lots of wide trails This is a really nice park with over 12 miles of wide trails. They weave through the woods and most circle back to where you started. There are also streams for swimming. There’s an open area about the size of a football field. 2 dogs per person are permitted off leash throughout the entire park if they are under the control of the handler at all times. Horses are also allowed. Location: Fern Hollow Rd. Sewickley Heights, PA. Directions: From Rt. 65, turn into the Quaker Valley Shopping Plaza. Turn right on Beaver Rd. Turn left at the first stop sign onto Big Sewickley Creek Rd. 2 miles turn right on Fern Hollow Rd. Park is 1/2 mile on left.

This wonderful spot off High Street in Morgantown offers two separate fenced-in dog parks- one for Big Rover and one for Lil Rover…. beautiful! Recently, a roofed picnic table was added with the two other tables, along with a couple metal benches… Many visitors… Often we take our two to find 20-25 dogs already playing! Very Nice Off-Leash Dog Park. This is an excellent park. The park is a large fenced-in area with a 2-gate entry system to control runaways and ‘Hairy Houdinies.’ The land is owned by the City of Akron, but is operated by BARC (Better Akron Recreation for Canines). BARC’s website is http://akrondogpark.org/. The website is very informative, and I suggest that you check it out before visiting the park (especially the section on rules.) I use this park often, and I meet some of the nicest people. My only complaint is that not everyone follows the rule of cleaning up after their own dog. I know I do. Please come and visit, but make sure that you and your pooch only leave footprints/paw prints and nothing ‘else’.Location: 499 Memorial Parkway. Directions: From Akron take Tallmadge Road west.
