The dog park, which opened in June of 2006 is located in the fenced northeast corner of the park. The 1.83 acre, granite surface with small, rolling hills and dog-friendly shrubbery is enclosed by six-foot-high perimeter fencing and two double-gated ADA accessible entrances. The area offers both large and small dog sections, both of which provide ‘Mutt-Mitt’ dispensers and trash receptacles. The small dog section is intended for those under 20 pounds. Pet owners can enjoy shade trees and picnic table seating, although food is not allowed in the off-leash area. The Dog Park is open during Park Operation Hours of 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Parking can be accessed off of 7th Street just north of the VA Hospital. Closure notices will be posted in advance due to large scale events throughout the year. Community members are continuing to raise funds for additional dog park amenities such as shade structures, benches, water resources within the off-leash area, and lighting. Jaycee Park is located at 5th Street and Hardy Drive. Park hours are 6 a.m.-midnight daily. Jaycee Park is fenced, lighted, and includes trees, benches, disposal bags, trash cans, parking, water. Access for the disabled is also provided.
The ‘No Dog’ signs apply to certain areas of the park, not the off-leash park inside of it. Location: Andy Devine Ave (Rte 66), inside Louis Kingman City Park. Directions: Exit I-40 west on Andy Devine Ave, park is approx 2 miles on the left.

Off-leash park, one pretty large area for both large and small dogs. No separate areas for large and small breeds. No grass as of now, however it is closed thursdays for the attempt to grow grass. Location: Southwest corner of College and Curry. Directions: From Curry, turn off Scottsdale Road, or Mill Ave.

Turn south, go past golf course. Turn right on Tournament Drive, and follow along river. Park is on the right.
Park for people and pets. Big open fenced in area with toys, bag, water and benches for owners. Don’t forget to come inside and pick another play mat. Only open during the day until the sun goes down. Location: Right behind the Fayetteville animal shelter. Directions: Just turn right on to industrial drive and then pull in to the shelter and go around the back.

We take safety very serious here at Heidi’s Historic Home & Pet Care. I only allow Five dogs (maximum) at a time into my home, excluding my own. This means extra time for each pet that visits. And, because we are a Cage-Free Environment, we can only allow “The Cream of The Crop” into our family. This means that while we would love to allow All loving dogs into our home, we can only provide our Doggie Day Care & Dog Boarding services to those who not only pass the below requirements, but also must be of a docile, friendly, & loving temperament to All size dogs, as well as humans.
* We are only accepting larger breeds that are extremely docile & well trained around smaller dogs (And, Larger) as our little ones can’t protect themselves as well! If you feel your larger breed dog is in any way overwhelming to other dogs or aggressive in any way, we will not be able to accept your dog into our care.

All dogs must be free of tics and flees and current on all vaccinations, including Bordetella; completely potty trained, aggressive free, and well trained (no marking territory inside, no excessive barking, no chewing on furniture, toys, doggie beds). We do not accept dogs that have any type of behavioral problems.
