The Bernalillo County Animal Control and Protection Department’s primary responsibility is to protect the safety, health and welfare of the public while enforcing the humane treatment of animals.
The Brookfield Police Department employs one Animal Control Officer who provides numerous services to the city and its residents.
Stray animals picked up by the Animal Control Officers are taken to the Bedford County Animal Shelter located on Falling Creek Road. Manned by County staff, the shelter is an award-winning facility offering separate climate controlled quarters for dogs and cats, puppies and kittens.
It is the goal of Brigham City’s Animal Control to provide service to the citizens and animals of Brigham City through the professional operation of the Animal Shelter and through animal care and control programs.

The Bullhead City Animal Care & Welfare Facility houses domesticated and stray animals, reunites lost pets with owners and enforces City ordinances pertaining to animals.
The Animal Control Division is responsible for responding to complaints dealing with all types of animals. This service generally concentrates on the dog population of the Town, but is also responsible for complaints dealing with raccoons, deer, trapped wildlife, and other concerns dealing with domestic or wild animals.

Birchwood Inn allows two dogs of any size for a fee of $25 per pet per night. Dog owners are responsible for any damages or extra cleaning necessary due to your dog.

The Knights Inn is pet friendly. Three pets of any size are welcome for an additional fee of $10 per night per pet.
Hiking, trails, pond. Tons of hiking trails. Great for dogs off-leash. Tons of dogs and friendly people. There is a pond, but take care as early summer there are baby geese and the people who fly model airplanes will report you if your dog hurts any wildlife.
