The Animal Control Officer has the responsibility of helping to control the animal population in Union County by picking up unwanted pets and lost or stray animals.County Animal Control service area includes the incorporated Towns of Carlisle, Jonesville and Lockhart. The City of Union provides animal control to citizens within its municipal boundaries. All animals (City and County) are transported to the County Animal Shelter located at the County Complex at 1647 Jonesville Highway (beside the Jail). This shelter is operated by the County in partnership with the City of Union.
This office was established to help educate the citizens of Chester County about domestic animals. We also help to control the pet population of unwanted animals in Chester County.
It is the goal of Lexington County Animal Services to provide all citizens with prompt and professional assistance with their animal control needs. Lexington County Animal Services also has an adoption program with many dogs and cats awaiting new homes.
Caldwell County Animal Control is a division of the Caldwell County Health Department and serves all municipalities and areas within Caldwell County.
Chesterfield County Animal Control is available to county residents to pick up stray or lost dogs and/or cats. They also help handle animal nuisance complaints. If you have a dog or cat you no longer want and want to bring to the shelter you will need to bring it to the shelter during public hours.
Up to three pets of any size are welcome $10 per pet, per stay. Housekeeping may not service a room with an unattended animal. Pets must be leashed inside the hotel.
