Eye Care for Animals is available to assist you and your veterinarian with treatment of your pet’s eyes. While you may contact us by phone, we encourage your veterinarian to use our referral form. This will provide a record of your pet’s medical history and any previous treatments. You may then fax, mail, or hand deliver it to the Eye Care for Animals practice of your next appointment.
2601 South Arlington Mill Drive This area is located along the bicycle path behind a storage facility along South Four Mile Run between Shirlington Rd. and South Walter Reed Dr. It is close to but not in Jennie Dean Park. Heading east on Four Mile Run take a right on Nelson. Heading west take a left. Go straight and park behind the storage facility. The area is between the facility and the water. There is no signage indicating its location. NOTE: Personal safety issues at this site.
Interior space is one acre of bluestone dust surface. Clean and dry. Location: 4710 Mt. Vernon Memorial Hwy, Alexandria. Directions: Turn onto Mt. Vernon Memorial Hwy from Rt. 1 (Richmond Hwy) and continue just past Rt. 623 to park entrance on left. Off Leash Dog Area is to right, past barn and garden plots on asphalt trail along front of park.

4100 South Four Mile Run Drive This exercise area is located in the park at the ‘T’ of Arlington Mill Rd, and South Walter Reed Dr. If you drive to it you must enter at the South Four Mile Run entrance close to the DMV. Park and walk east along the bicycle path approximately 1/2 mile toward S. Walter Reed. The dog exercise area is on the left between the bicycle path and water, close to the road.

The Regional Veterinary Referral Center is located in the heart of the Northern Virginia – Washington, DC metropolitan area. It is a comfortable combination of both old and new. The Emergency Service Department has been well established (since 1985) in the community and is the central connection between you, your pet, the referring veterinarian and the other specialists within the Center. Our newly expanded facility is well over 9500 square feet and still growing. The Center boasts some of the most advanced diagnostic/treatment modalities offered in veterinary medicine today. We are the only facility in the mid-Atlantic region to offer an on-site CATScan service, radiation therapy via a linear accelerator and the presence of a Board Certified Cardiologist, Dermatologist, Internist, Ophthalmologist, Radiation Oncologist, Radiologist, two Surgeons (one with special training in surgical oncology) as well as a Rehabilitative Therapy program complete with underwater treadmill. Our state-of-the-art diagnostics, coupled with an in-house laboratory and well trained and dedicated staff, provide the foundation for an extremely effective Referral Center. We are devoted to providing a caring environment that treats people and animals with dignity, kindness and respect. It is also the home of Radiocat – a practice with clinics across the country specializing in the treatment of feline hyperthyroidism with radioactive iodine (I-131). Because of our very special approach to pets and their owners, and the presence of highly trained individuals, RVRC is quickly becoming the premiere place for the treatment of cancer in animals. In the mid-1800’s Fairfax Animal Hospital was a dairy farm. In the 1930’s beside where we are residing now there was a country store, there were pony rides, and in the 1940’s the airport was right across the street. In 1945 we became the first animal hospital in Fairfax County.
