Dr. Villar was born in Spain but considers himself a Virginia native, having lived most of his life in Charlottesville. Early on he developed a keen interest in animals, having been in their constant company as a child. His family owned a small farm that at one time or another raised pet horses, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and let’s not forget his prize winning donkey, Mikey.Dr. Villar pursued his Bachelor’s at the University of Virginia.

Dr. Urbanz attended Auburn University where she received a degree in both Zoology and Veterinary Medicine. She then completed a fellowship at the Scott-Ritchey Research Center in veterinary medical studies. Dr. Urbanz completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at University of Minnesota. Dr. Urbanz joined the residency program at Eye Care for Animals in 1999 and became a board certified Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists in 2002.

Jill, along with her staff of fully trained kennel supervisors, will attend to all of your dog’s special needs. Every new dog that comes to CageFree K-9 Camp in Los Angeles must have a temperament evaluation by our kennel supervisor to make certain that the dog day care and boarding experience is a safe and happy one for all of our guests. CageFree’s interviewing process ensures that the cage free environment is right for each dog. The interview gives you and your dog a chance to become familiar and comfortable with us and our dog day care, dog boarding and dog training kennel. Proof of current vaccitions should be brought to the interview, which lasts about 30 minutes and includes a full tour of our facility and a temperament test for each new dog. Every dog attending the kennel must be on a flea preventative program. Any dog participating in dog day care or dog boarding over 8 months of age must be spayed or neutered.
