Lone Star Shih Tzu and Lhasa Apso Rescue (LSSTLAR) is an all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of abused, abandoned and neglected Shih Tzus and Lhasa Apsos. We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization which means your donations may be tax deductible.

We are a small not for profit 501(c)(3) non profit organization. — All volunteer rescue group who are dedicated to rescue,re-hab and re-homing toy breed dogs from commercial kennels, puppymills, and shelters.

We rescue mostly Chihuahuas, Chinese Cresteds, Shih Tzus, Mini Schnauzers, Brussels Griffons, but not limited to these breeds. At times you will see a Pap, Pom, Yorkie, or a Poodle in our care. We love them all but we are limited at times to what our foster homes are experienced with. We consist of volunteer families and individuals in the U.S., who foster in our homes. We are always in need of caring people to temporarily foster them until they go home.

Northstar Shih Tzu Rescue (NSSTR) is an all-volunteer, 501c3 (in process) non-profit organization dedicated to Shih Tzu and Shih Tzu blend dogs. NorthStar Shih Tzu Rescue exists to benefit both Shih Tzu and Shih Tzu blend dogs and the people of our community. We operate as a no-kill rescue that provides rescue and adoption services, and meaningful outreach programs in order to advance the welfare of these companion animals, to serve and educate our community, and to make a positive, loving impact on the lives of both. NSSTR, located in Excelsior, MN, actively works to rescue Shih Tzu and Shih Tzu blend dogs from dangerous environments and shelters with the ultimate goal of placing them in loving, permanent, adoptive homes. We rescue unwanted, abandoned, and abused dogs. We have them vaccinated, micro-chipped, spayed or neutered, provide other medical care, and rehabilitate them in carefully selected foster homes. We also serve as a resource to our community and all pet owners by providing education and information on the benefits of adopting an animal in need as well as responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter, good nutrition, and positive behavior training. We strive to increase public awareness about companion animal overpopulation, commercial breeders, and to offer solutions to end the killing of adoptable animals. We work in alliance with local animal shelters, pounds, other rescue groups, and humane society organizations to ensure these animals are not forgotten.

We rescue, rehabilitate and re-home Shih Tzu and other toy breed dogs from a variety of situations. We pull from a number of shelters in and around Ohio; we take in breeder releases from commercial breeding facilities and owner surrenders as space permits. We do this so that hopefully we can reduce the number of Shih Tzu and other breeds euthanized in shelters due to space and place all of our dogs in loving permanent homes.

Pomeranian and Small Breed Rescue is a volunteer rescue group in Ontario, Canada. We provide care for dogs that that have been surrendered by their owners, rescued from puppy mills, or are in danger of losing their lives in local animal control facilities. We are a registered Canadian charity, operated by a group of dedicated individuals committed to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming Pomeranian and other small breed dogs. All dogs are fostered in loving home environments.

Holly’s Garden Rescue is a small breed under 20lb dog rescue. Our specic target is Shih Tzu, Lhasa, Maltese. But we rescue all small breeds. Dogs are “mans best friend, we made them that, it is our responsibility to see that they are not disposable.

PVSTR was founded in 1991. We have been dedicated to rescuing and re-homing Shih Tzu dogs and other small breeds that have been abused or neglected and are in danger of being put to sleep.

CUTEODYSSEY’S DOGGIE RESCUE is an all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of abused, abandoned and neglected dogs.

We’ve done rescue for 15 yrs, 501(c)(3) for 12 yrs. We love dogs and try to find the most stable, loving homes possible. We believe in quality of adoptions, not quantity. In other words, each adoption is a lengthy process and applicants are screened to the best of our ability. Dogs are thoroughly vetted and groomed before they are adopted.

Crossroads Shih Tzu Rescue is a small 501(c)3 federal nonprofit rescue dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of Shih Tzu and Shih Tzu mixes who find themselves facing euthanasia in shelters, released from puppy mills and needing a new chance at life and other dogs from unfortunate situations. Our mission and goal are simple… to rescue as many needy Shih Tzu and Shih Tzu mixes as our resources will allow, to rehabilitate them in preparation for their new families and lives, and to find the absolute best possible forever homes for them. One by one… until there are none.
