Blue Lion rescues giant breeds of dogs- mostly rare breed Mastiffs. These dogs are not right for the novice dog owner as they are very dominant and, if they are in control, you are in trouble! They are great dogs for the right person though!
Inspired by over 25 years of dedication as a Breeder of Majestic Champion Bullmastiffs, our Rescue Barn is a program set up to assist owners of Bullmastiff and other Molosser/Mastiff-type breeds who can no longer keep or house their animal due to unfortunate circumstances. Our Rescue Program offers assistance thru evaluation, foster care and eventual placement for mastiff breeds in need of care, rehabilitation or environmental change.

I am a volunteer and work closely with president trying to lighten her load. We take owner surrenders and try to find them a forever home. We go to shelters and pull dog and put them in foster homes or with adoptive parents. I love rescuing animals and I have full family involvment. We have a rescued dog that took our whole savings because of health issues. There are so many more needy dogs, and I know I can help them so way or another.

We specialize in bully breeds (pit bulls, American bulldogs, pit mixes, mastiffs, bull terriers, etc.) because they are a misunderstood breed. We want to give them the chance they deserve by offering education to the public and encouraging all adopters to know the breed and to continue representing the breed as ambassadors.
